3 Legged Thing Steve Overview

Named after Steve Wright, famed for his chaotic BBC afternoon radio shows, the Steve from 3 Legged Thing is a compact boom arm designed for broadcasters, podcasters, and live streamers. With a removable extension column for equipment clearance and flexible height adjustment between 5.7 and 27.8", Steve is a versatile boom arm.

Integrated cable management works together with the tailored equipment clearance of the column for a discreet desktop appearance, helping you to keep your workspace organized. Both 3/8 and 5/8" threaded mounts are provided; combined with support for mics up to 2.2 lb, Steve ensures universal compatibility with most microphones. The Steve boom arm includes a clamp desk mount, a grommet desk mount, hex keys, and reusable cable ties.

Flexible Mounting Options

With clamp or grommet mounting options, you can decide which option is the ideal choice for you setup. With a clamp, the boom arm is securely affixed to your desk for minimal wobble and is fast and easy to deploy. With a grommet, you get the option of more convenient cable runs through the grommet hole for an even cleaner desktop look. With both 3/8 and 5/8" threaded mounts, you can support most mics, including professional shockmounted USB or condenser mics.
